Comic Relief has long reached its audience through school programs, but over the last ten years, it’s shifted its focus to social and digital platforms to reach young adults better. This transition placed a much greater focus on their marketing and public relations organizations, requiring them to produce a more significant volume of content while keeping their budgets in check. The creative production team’s technical footprint utilized specialty on-premises hardware and software systems less familiar to the IT staff and resulted in the marketing department performing best effort self-support.
