Search

Search in Air Archive

AIR Archive search is a powerful feature that allows you to search, discover and view content that maybe difficult to navidate to.

You can search for the following : 

  • File name

  • Authors

  • Tags

  • File contents

  • Image contents

  • Image properties (such as resolution, date, keywords, copyrights, and other EXIF and IPTC fields)

  • OCR (Optical character recognition) - text within images


To search for content:

  1. Click the search bar at the top.

  2. Start typing what you’d like to search for.


Combining Search and Filters

The most effective way to find content in AIR Archive is to use Search and Filters together. For example, if you have an idea of filename, you could search this first and then filter by tags, file size etc as required. Alternatively, you can filter content first for images or tags, for instance, and then perform a search on the filtered assets to narrow down content further. 

You can filter your search results on AIR Archive by folder and content type or any other defined filter (such as Tag)

Search and Filters are limited to the specific folder found or search results. Open up the Filter side panel to apply filters to your search result.

  • To filter by a specific type of content, click Type and click the checkbox next to the type(s) of content you’d like to filter by.

  • To filter by a certain time period, click Date Updated or Date Created and enter a custom time period.

  • To filter by a Tag, click the relevent tag you are looking for (you can multi-select Tags).


Global Search

With AIR Archive it is possible to perform a global search across multiple Libraries. This makes Search a powerful feature.

For example, if you organized content into a new Library per year; you would have the option to search in the folder/container you are currently looking at, or to search across all containers at once. Assets that meet the search criteria will be surfaced in the main explorer window.
